Online Quran Classes for Kids
Teaching a child to read the Quran is difficult to arrange around school, and harder still if there is no madrasa nearby. Our classes are one-to-one, thirty minutes, and scheduled at a time that suits your family. Your child works with the same certified tutor every week, at their own pace, without being held back by a group or pushed past something they have not grasped.
Children do not learn well by being talked at for an hour. They learn by doing a small amount, being corrected immediately, and coming back to it often. That is why our sessions are short and frequent rather than long and occasional, and why a tutor listens to every letter a child produces rather than moving on once the class has covered the material. Parents are welcome to sit in, and most do for the first few weeks.
What age can a child start?
Around five is the usual starting point, when a child can sit through a short focused session and repeat sounds accurately. Some are ready earlier and some need a few more months, and the trial class is the honest way to find out. If your child is not ready, the tutor will say so rather than take the booking.
What your child will learn
Most children begin with Noorani Qaida and progress to reading the Mushaf. Alongside that, many families add Islamic studies so the learning connects to daily life.

Keeping a child engaged
Attention span, not content, is the limiting factor with young learners. Classes run thirty minutes, tutors experienced with children vary the session rather than drilling one thing, and progress is marked clearly so a child can see they are moving forward. If your child is not enjoying it, tell us early. Changing tutor is straightforward and often solves it.
What parents receive
A short written note after every class covering what was done and what to practise. This matters more than it sounds: the material a child retains is usually the material a parent reinforces at home. You will also know exactly where your child is up to, rather than finding out months later that progress stalled.
Female tutors for children
Female tutors are available for children and can be requested when you book. Many families prefer this, particularly for daughters, and we treat it as a standard arrangement rather than a special request.

What age can my child start Quran classes?
Generally from around age five, when a child can sit through a short focused session and repeat sounds accurately. Some children are ready earlier. Book the free trial and the tutor will tell you honestly whether to start now or wait a few months.
How long are classes for children?
Thirty minutes. Attention span rather than content is the limiting factor at this age, so shorter and more frequent works far better than long occasional sessions. Three classes a week suits most children.
Can I request a female teacher for my daughter?
Yes. Female tutors are available and you can request one when booking. This is standard rather than an exception, and many of the families we teach prefer it.
Can I sit in on my child’s class?
Yes, and many parents do for the first few weeks. It helps you understand what is being taught so you can reinforce it at home, which makes a considerable difference to how quickly a child progresses.
My child has never learned Arabic. Is that a problem?
No. Most of our young students start with no Arabic at all. Noorani Qaida begins with the individual letters and assumes no prior exposure to the language.
How do I know my child is actually progressing?
You receive a written note after every class, and your tutor keeps a record of what is secure and what needs revision. Progress in Quran learning is gradual, so the record is what lets you see movement over months rather than guessing.
